Bacterial Vaginosis Gardnerella is a problem that is usually faced by women in their private part. This problem is caused by the overgrowth of certain bacteria in the vagina. The bacteria include Gardnerella vaginalis, Gardneralla mobiluncus, and Mycoplasma hominis. The general signs of this problem are vaginal odor, itching, and irritation. Those signs can be accompanied by a smooth, sticky white or gray discharge for 4 days up to 4 weeks. This problem is noticeable particularly after menstruation and intercourse.

Indeed, Bacterial Vaginosis Gardnerella is usually experienced by matured females who will conceive children. However, some women also experience this problem because of some factors. Those factors include having multiple sexual partners, douching, not using condom during physical contact, and using IUD for birth control. Those factors can cause the ratio imbalance between beneficial and harmful bacteria in the vaginal area, and in the end, you get Bacterial Vaginosis Gardnerella.

Actually, you do not need to worry too much about Bacterial Vaginosis Gardnerella.  However, it is better for you to cure this problem immediately and not to delay the treatment because it can increase your risk for premature birth, female infertility, tubal pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, and even HIV infection. And, women with HIV who also get Bacterial Vaginosis increase their opportunity of passing HIV to their sexual partner.

If you choose to take treatment for Bacterial Vaginosis Gardnerella from doctor, doctor will diagnose it through a pelvic examination and laboratory tests. Then, he/ she will give you antibiotics, like clindamycin and metronidazole. Unfortunately, antibiotics kill off the bodies fighting mechanisms, so this condition increases your risk to more infections. The best way to cure Bacterial Vaginosis Gardnerella is by nourishing and enriching good bacteria, so the vaginal area can be protected from bad bacteria and some infections that can happen.
